For IHC(P), use heat-induced antigen retrieval in pH 6.0 citrate buffer. After incubation with the primary antibody, slides were incubated with biotinylated secondary antibody, followed by alkaline phosphatase-streptavidin and chromogen.

Target Information

The six-transmembrane epithelial antigen of prostate 2 (STEAP2) belongs to a family of metalloreductases identified as cell-surface antigens in prostate tissue. Similar to STEAP3 and STEAP4, STEAP2 promotes both iron and copper reduction. Its expression correlates with iron and copper uptake, suggesting a role in metal ion metabolism. STEAP2 is widely expressed across tissues, with the highest expression in prostate. At least three isoforms of STEAP2 are known.
