Product Specific Information
- IHC (PFA fixed): Incubate antibody for 30 minutes at room temperature.
- Antigen Retrieval: Heat formalin-fixed tissue sections in 10 mM Tris with 1 mM EDTA, pH 9.0, for 45 minutes at 95°C, then cool at room temperature for 20 minutes.
Target Information
C1q is a sub-component of complement C1. It associates with complement components C1r and C1s, which are essential for the progression of the proteolytic complement cascade.
Deficiency of C1q has been linked to lupus erythematosus and glomerulonephritis.
C1q consists of 18 polypeptide chains: six A-chains, six B-chains, and six C-chains. Each chain contains a collagen-like region near the N-terminus and a C-terminal globular region. The A-, B-, and C-chains are arranged in the order A–C–B on chromosome 1.
