Target Information
ADP-ribosylation factor 1 (ARF1)는 인간 ARF 유전자 패밀리의 구성원으로, 콜레라 독소의 ADP-리보실전이효소 활성을 자극하고 소포 수송(vesicular trafficking) 및 phospholipase D의 활성화에 관여하는 작은 GTP 결합 단백질이다.
ARF 단백질은 RAS 초패밀리에 속하며, 클래스 I (ARF1, ARF2, ARF3), 클래스 II (ARF4, ARF5), 클래스 III (ARF6)로 구분된다.
ARF1은 골지체(Golgi apparatus)에 위치하며, 골지 내 수송(intra-Golgi transport)에 중심적인 역할을 한다.
이 유전자는 동일 단백질을 암호화하는 여러 대체 스플라이싱 전사체를 갖는다.
