Product Specific Information
The TRI-COLOR® conjugate is a tandem R-phycoerythrin (PE)-Cy5 conjugate that enables simultaneous multicolor labeling and detection of multiple targets using a single excitation source — the 488 nm line of the argon-ion laser.
Target Information
CD16 encodes a receptor that recognizes the Fc portion of immunoglobulin G and is involved in the clearance of immune complexes, cellular cytotoxicity, and enhancement of viral infections.
The gene FCGR3A shares high similarity with FCGR3B, located on chromosome 1.
- FCGR3A: Expressed on NK cells as a membrane glycoprotein (transmembrane anchor)
- FCGR3B: Expressed on PMNs with a phosphatidylinositol (PI) linkage
Mutations in FCGR3A are associated with:
- Immunodeficiency 20
- Susceptibility to recurrent viral infections
- Systemic lupus erythematosus
- Alloimmune neonatal neutropenia
Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified.
