Target Information

SMC proteins are involved in the proper condensation and segregation of mitotic chromosomes.
Four human SMC proteins form two distinct heterodimeric complexes in the cell:
- hCAP-C/hCAP-E complex (human chromosome-associated protein C and E)
- hSMC1/hSMC3 complex
