This product is preservative-free. It is recommended to add sodium azide to avoid contamination (final concentration 0.05%–0.1%).

Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. The antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits are cloned and screened to select optimal candidates for production.

Target Information

Oncostatin M (OSM) is a growth and differentiation factor involved in the regulation of neurogenesis, osteogenesis, and hematopoiesis.
Produced by activated T cells, monocytes, and Kaposi’s sarcoma cells, OSM can exert both stimulatory and inhibitory effects on cell proliferation.
It stimulates fibroblast, smooth muscle, and Kaposi’s sarcoma cell proliferation, but inhibits growth of some normal and tumor cell lines.
Additionally, OSM promotes cytokine release (e.g., IL-6, GM-CSF, G-CSF) from endothelial cells and enhances LDL receptor expression in hepatoma cells.
OSM shares structural and functional characteristics with LIF, IL-6, and CNTF.
