Mouse anti-Horse CD5 antibody, clone CVS5, recognizes the equine CD5 antigen, a single-pass type I membrane protein with an approximate molecular weight of 69 kDa.
Target Information
CD5 is a 67 kDa human T-lymphocyte single-chain transmembrane glycoprotein. It is present on all mature T-lymphocytes, most thymocytes, and many T-cell leukemias and lymphomas. CD5 also reacts with a subset of activated B-cells and may function as a receptor regulating T-cell proliferation.
In lymph nodes, CD5 expression is primarily observed in T-cell areas. It is expressed by many T-cell leukemias, lymphomas, and activated T cells. Diseases associated with CD5 dysfunction include thymus cancer and Richter’s Syndrome.
