CNOT7 (CCR4-NOT transcription complex subunit 7)은 합성 poly(A) RNA 기질에 대해 3'-5' poly(A) exoribonuclease 활성을 가지며, CNOT8과 부분적으로 중복된 기능을 수행합니다. CNOT7은 CCR4-NOT 복합체의 촉매 성분으로, 이 복합체는 세포 내 주요 mRNA deadenylase 중 하나로서, mRNA 분해, miRNA 매개 억제, 번역 개시 시의 번역 억제, 전사 조절 등 다양한 세포 과정에 관여합니다. 또한 BTG 계열 단백질(TOB1, BTG2 등)과 결합하여 그들의 항증식 활성을 매개합니다.
