Target Information

CD276 (B7-H3) is a member of the B7 family of co-stimulatory molecules. It is a type I transmembrane protein that induces proliferation of CD4+ and CD8+ T cells, enhances cytotoxic T cell generation, and stimulates interferon gamma production.
Expression can be induced on dendritic cells and monocytes by inflammatory cytokines and is found in peripheral tissues such as heart, kidney, testis, and colon.
In humans, CD276 exists as two isoforms resulting from gene duplication and differential splicing.
It has potential therapeutic relevance in regulating immune responses to cancer, particularly with anti-angiogenic therapy.
