This ILCID2 monoclonal antibody recognizes mouse and human ID2.
Requires Foxp3/Transcription Factor Staining Buffer Set for optimal performance; performs poorly with standard IC Fixation & Permeabilization Buffer Set.
Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis
Applications Tested: Tested on mouse splenocytes using Foxp3/Transcription Factor Staining Buffer Set (Product #00-5523-00).
Refer to BestProtocols®: Protocol B for intracellular staining.
- Recommended ≤1.0 µg/test (100 µL final volume)
- Cell number: 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test (empirical determination)
- Titrate for optimal performance
Light Sensitivity: Tandem dye sensitive to photo-induced oxidation. Protect from light.
Fixation: Samples can be stored in IC Fixation Buffer (Product #00-8222) or 1-step Fix/Lyse Solution (Product #00-5333-54) for up to 3 days at 4°C in dark.
Excitation: 488–561 nm

Target Information
The inhibitor of DNA binding 2 (ID2) protein promotes development of several cell types including natural killer cells, erythroid precursors, and CD8⁺/CD4⁺ T cells.
Deficiency of ID2 enhances B-cell development.
ID2 associates with E proteins and other basic helix-loop-helix (HLH) family members, preventing DNA binding and transcription activation.
Activation of ID2 is critical for NK cell lineage development.
