Target Information
The adhesion and degranulation adaptor protein (ADAP) acts as a molecular adapter linking T cell receptor (TCR) stimulation to integrin-mediated T cell adhesion. Upon TCR activation, ADAP participates in forming a multi-protein complex containing CARMA1, MALT1, and BCL-10, which activates NF-κB transcription factors. ADAP also regulates T cell proliferation, cytokine production, and expression of Bcl-x(L), thereby modulating antigen-dependent T cell–APC interactions. At least three isoforms of ADAP are known.
