The Thermo Scientific™ PCR Plate, 96-well, low profile, non-skirted, Sustain™ Series has shorter wells than the standard profile plate (AB-0600SS), decreasing the dead space between the heated lid of the thermal cycler and the sample. This design eliminates condensation on the side wall of the tube, preventing reduction in PCR volume and increasing the efficiency of the reaction. These low-profile products are especially recommended for use with reaction volumes below 20 μL.

They are manufactured under ISO 9001 guidelines within a Class 100,000 cleanroom using biobased medical-grade virgin polypropylene that is chemically and molecularly identical to existing Thermo Scientific PCR plastics.
These products are ISCC certified, supporting global sustainability standards. The biobased polypropylene resin provides approximately 1.96× lower CO₂ equivalent emissions per kg compared to traditional fossil fuel-based polypropylene resin.
