Rat에서 이 유전자의 과발현은 혈관 평활근 세포의 비대를 유도하며, C-말단은 Angiotensin II receptor-1A와 상호작용합니다.
인간에서는 이 유전자가 13q 염색체 영역에 위치하며, 이는 B세포 만성 림프구성 백혈병 및 기타 림프종에서 자주 결실되는 영역입니다.
