Target Information
TNFRSF14 is a member of the TNF receptor superfamily and serves as a cellular mediator of herpes simplex virus (HSV) entry through interaction with viral glycoprotein D (gD). The cytoplasmic region binds TRAF family members, mediating signal transduction pathways that activate immune responses. Activation in T cells stimulates proliferation and cytokine production, contributing to inflammation and enhanced CTL-mediated tumor immunity. Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants exist, though some full-length forms remain undetermined.
