Product Specific Information

For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

Beta-2-microglobulin (B2M) is a 12–14 kDa protein that forms part of the MHC class I complex. It is expressed on various cell types including lymphocytes, monocytes, granulocytes, platelets, and epithelial cells, but absent on erythrocytes.
B2M is structurally similar to immunoglobulin constant regions and mainly composed of beta-pleated sheets. It participates in antigen processing, presentation, and TCR signaling pathways.
The B2M gene is located on chromosome 15, and mutations can cause hypercatabolic hypoproteinemia. B2M levels are used as a marker for renal function and HIV prognosis.
