Target Information

MCL1 (Myeloid cell leukemia-1)은 Bcl-2 패밀리에 속하며 세포 생존 유지 및 분화에 관여합니다. Isoform 1은 apoptosis를 억제하고, Isoform 2는 촉진합니다. MCL1의 발현은 DNA 손상 요인(방사선, 자외선, 알킬화 약물 등)에 노출 시 증가하며, 세포 분화 과정에서 bcl-2와 함께 미토콘드리아에 주로 존재합니다. MCL1은 Bim 또는 Bak과 같은 pro-apoptotic 단백질을 중화하여 세포 생존을 촉진하는 것으로 알려져 있습니다. 배아 발생 및 B/T 림프구 발달에 필수적인 단백질로, MCL1L과 MCL1S 두 가지 주요 isoform이 존재합니다. MCL1S의 과발현은 세포 사멸을 유도합니다.
