이 단백질은 ankyrin 반복, SH3 도메인, PDZ 도메인, cortactin SH3 결합 서열 및 SAM 도메인을 포함합니다.
Shank 유전자의 대체 스플라이싱은 성인 및 발달 중 뇌에서 Shank 구조와 상호작용 단백질 스펙트럼을 조절하는 기전으로 제안되었습니다.
이 단백질의 변형은 자폐 스펙트럼 장애의 감수성과 관련될 수 있습니다.
대체 스플라이싱으로 여러 전사 변형체가 형성됩니다.
