이 단백질은 다발성 근염(polymyositis) 및 피부근염(dermatomyositis) 등 자가면역질환에서 자가항체의 표적이 되는 것으로 알려져 있습니다.
이 유전자는 다양한 isoform을 암호화하는 대체 스플라이싱 전사체를 가집니다.
