Target Information
HBXIP (also named XIP) belongs to the HBXIP family and was originally identified by its interaction with the C-terminus of hepatitis B virus (HBV) X protein (HBx).
HBXIP regulates centrosome dynamics and cytokinesis, and can up-regulate S100A4 by activating STAT4 and inducing DNA methylation of PTEN.
It is a cellular 18 kDa protein localized in the cytoplasm.
