Target Information
LIM domain-binding factors는 핵 단백질의 LIM 도메인과 상호작용하는 단백질로 처음 분리되었습니다. LDB2 유전자가 암호화하는 단백질은 다양한 전사 인자와 결합할 수 있으며, enhancer 부위에서 복합체를 형성하거나 억제하여 전사 조절에 관여합니다.
이 단백질군은 마우스에서 Clim1, Clim2/Lbd1/Nli로 알려진 두 멤버를 포함하며, 개구리, 닭, 초파리에서도 유사체가 발견되었습니다. 이러한 단백질들은 여러 전사 인자의 전사 활성 조정을 담당하므로, 다양한 부위에 영향을 미치는 인간 표현형과 관련이 있을 가능성이 있습니다.
