Target Information
Methotrexate는 항대사물질이자 항엽산제(antifolate)로, 항암 및 면역억제 활성을 가집니다.
이 화합물은 dihydrofolate reductase 효소에 결합하여 이를 억제함으로써 퓨린 뉴클레오타이드 및 티미딜레이트 합성을 저해하고, 결과적으로 DNA 및 RNA 합성을 억제합니다.
또한 Methotrexate는 강력한 면역억제 활성을 보이지만 그 작용 기전은 완전히 밝혀지지 않았습니다.
