Target Information
TMEM192 is a widely expressed, four-transmembrane protein that localizes to late endosomal and lysosomal membranes. This localization is mediated by two dileucine motifs at the amino terminus. A cysteine residue near the carboxy terminus is responsible for disulfide bond formation in TMEM192 homodimers. The precise biological function of this protein remains largely unknown.
