Target Information
Von Willebrand factor (vWf) is a series of self-aggregated structures derived from common glycoprotein subunits synthesized in endothelial cells and megakaryocytes. The monomeric vWf unit has a molecular mass of 225 kDa. vWf binds to circulating factor VIIIc (antihemophilic factor), stabilizing it and playing an essential role in normal primary haemostasis.
