BLOS1은 lysosome-related organelles complex-1 (BLOC-1)의 구성 요소로, endosome에서 vacuole로의 세포 내 소포 수송을 매개하는 복합체입니다. SNX1과의 상호작용을 통해 PIN1 및 PIN2의 항상성을 조절하며, 식물의 성장 및 발달에 중요한 역할을 합니다. Arabidopsis에서 BLOS1과 BLOS2는 SNX1과 결합하여 endosomal transport에 관여하며, BLOS1 RNAi 처리 시 뿌리 길이와 측근 수가 증가하는 현상이 관찰되었습니다. 이는 BLOC-1 복합체가 vacuolar degradative transport를 조절함을 시사합니다.
