For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final concentration of ~1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional round of desalting using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
This gene encodes a 134 kDa protein named Strumpellin, predicted to have multiple transmembrane domains and a spectrin-repeat-containing domain. It is ubiquitously expressed, with highest levels in skeletal muscle. Strumpellin is associated with Strumpell disease, a form of hereditary spastic paraplegia (HSP), characterized by progressive lower extremity spasticity due to axonal degeneration in corticospinal tracts. Over 30 loci (SPG1–33) have been implicated in HSP disorders.
