CSTF2는 CSTF1, CSTF3와 함께 pre-mRNA의 폴리아데닐화(polyadenylation) 및 3' 말단 절단 과정에 관여하는 cleavage stimulation factor 복합체의 구성 요소입니다. CSTF2는 RNA 결합 도메인을 포함하며, B 세포 활성화 시 IgM 중쇄 mRNA가 막 결합형에서 분비형으로 전환될 때 발현이 증가합니다.
