AMPK의 비활성형 홀로엔자임은 두 개의 조절 서브유닛과 두 개의 촉매 서브유닛으로 구성된 사량체입니다. cAMP는 네 개의 cAMP가 결합된 조절 서브유닛 이합체와 두 개의 자유 촉매 서브유닛으로 분리되도록 유도합니다. 인간에서는 네 가지 조절 서브유닛과 세 가지 촉매 서브유닛이 확인되었습니다. PRKACB는 Ser/Thr protein kinase 계열에 속하며, AMPK의 촉매 서브유닛 중 하나입니다.
