Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL of distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
Profilin is a small (12–15 kDa) phosphoinositide and poly-L-proline binding protein involved in signal transduction and actin filament dynamics.
Two mammalian profilins exist with distinct expression patterns:
- Profilin I: Highly expressed in most tissues except skeletal muscle.
- Profilin II: Predominantly expressed in brain, with lower levels in skeletal muscle, uterus, and kidney.
Profilin is mainly cytosolic, concentrated in dynamic membrane regions such as the leading edge and ruffling membranes.
