This product is preservative-free. It is recommended to add sodium azide to avoid contamination (final concentration 0.05%–0.1%).
Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. The antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits are cloned, and individual clones are screened to select the best candidates for production.

This antibody is specific for Human CLPS/Colipase.
Target Information
The protein encoded by this gene is a cofactor required by pancreatic lipase for efficient dietary lipid hydrolysis. It binds to the C-terminal, non-catalytic domain of lipase, stabilizing an active conformation and increasing the hydrophobic binding site. This allows lipase to anchor noncovalently to lipid micelles, counteracting the effect of intestinal bile salts. Expression is limited to pancreatic acinar cells, and three transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified.
