Target Information
RGS13은 포유류 RGS (Regulators of G protein-signaling) 유전자군 중 가장 작은 구성원으로, yeast SST2 및 C. elegans egl-10 단백질과 구조적·기능적 상동성을 가집니다.
RGS 단백질은 Ga 서브유닛에 대한 GTPase-활성화 단백질(GAP)로 작용하여 G 단백질 매개 경로를 조절합니다.
RGS13은 인간 편도, 흉선, 폐, 림프절, 비장에서 풍부하게 발견되며, Gai, Gaq, Gas 결합 신호 전달을 조절합니다.
또한 Gai 및 Gao에 대한 GTPase-활성화 단백질로 작용하며, Gai- 또는 Gaq-결합 수용체에 의해 유도된 MAPK 활성을 억제합니다.
인간 RGS13 유전자는 염색체 1q31.2에 위치합니다.
