Target Information
The EXOC6 gene product belongs to the SEC15 family and is homologous to the Saccharomyces cerevisiae SEC15 protein. It plays a critical role in vesicular transport from the Golgi apparatus to the cell surface and is part of a multiprotein complex essential for exocytosis. Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified.
