GDNF (Glial cell line-derived neurotrophic factor)는 당화된 이황화 결합성 호모다이머 분자로, 중뇌 도파민성 뉴런의 생존을 촉진하는 강력한 인자로 처음 발견되었습니다. 파킨슨병 동물 모델에서 이러한 뉴런을 보호하는 역할을 하며, 신경영양인자(neurotrophic factor)로서 도파민성 뉴런의 생존과 형태학적 분화를 촉진하고 고친화성 도파민 흡수를 증가시킵니다. GDNF는 신경영양인자보다 약 100배 더 효율적인 척수 운동 뉴런 생존 인자로 알려져 있습니다.
