PA3-211 detects PEBP1 in human, mouse, and rat samples.
PA3-211 has been validated for use in Western blot, immunocytochemical, and immunohistochemical (paraffin) procedures.
The immunogen is a synthetic peptide corresponding to the C-terminal amino acids C(167)YQAEWDDYVPKLYEQLSGK(187) of PEBP1.
Target Information
Phosphatidylethanolamine-binding protein 1 (PEBP1) binds ATP, opioids, and phosphatidylethanolamine, showing lower affinity for phosphatidylinositol and phosphatidylcholine.
This serine protease inhibitor inhibits thrombin, neuropsin, and chymotrypsin but not trypsin, tissue-type plasminogen activator, or elastase.
PEBP1 contains hippocampal cholinergic neurostimulating peptide (HCNP), which may be involved in presynaptic cholinergic neuron function in the central nervous system.
HCNP increases the production of choline acetyltransferase but not acetylcholinesterase.
