SERPINB5 is a tumor suppressor that inhibits the growth, invasion, and metastasis of mammary tumors.
Unlike active serpins, SERPINB5 does not undergo the S (stressed) to R (relaxed) conformational transition and therefore exhibits no serine protease inhibitory activity.
