Target Information
IRAK3 (Interleukin-1 receptor-associated kinase 3) is a serine/threonine kinase and a member of the interleukin-1 receptor-associated kinase family, essential for Toll/IL-R immune signal transduction. It is primarily expressed in monocytes and macrophages and functions as a negative regulator of Toll-like receptor signaling. IRAK3 plays a critical role in innate immunity and is implicated in immunocompromised states during sepsis. Mutations in IRAK3 are associated with asthma susceptibility.
