Target Information
This gene encodes a telomere-specific protein that is a component of the telomere nucleoprotein complex.
The protein is present at telomeres throughout the cell cycle and functions as a telomerase inhibitor, acting in cis to limit elongation of chromosome ends.
It contains a C-terminal Myb motif, a dimerization domain near its N-terminus, and an acidic N-terminus.
Two alternatively spliced transcripts exist for this gene.
