Target Information
STK38 (also known as NDR, Nuclear Dbf2-related protein) is a serine/threonine kinase belonging to the AGC kinase family, regulated by Mob proteins. It is activated by Fas and TNFα receptor stimulation through phosphorylation at the hydrophobic motif. STK38 functions as a pro-apoptotic kinase and is a key component of the RASSF1A/MST1 signaling cascade. It plays a crucial role in mitotic chromosome alignment fidelity, is incorporated into HIV-1 particles, and cleaved by the HIV-1 protease. STK38-driven centrosome duplication requires Cdk2 activity, and reduction of STK38 affects Cdk2-induced centrosome amplification.
