Target Information
PRMT1은 protein arginine N-methyltransferase (PRMT) 패밀리의 구성원입니다. Arginine methylation은 RNA 처리 및 수송, 수용체 매개 신호전달, 전사 조절 등 다양한 생물학적 과정에 관여하는 비가역적 번역 후 변형입니다. PRMT 효소는 핵 단백질, IL enhancer binding factor, 세포 주기 단백질, 신호전달 단백질, apoptosis 관련 단백질, 바이러스 단백질 등 주요 단백질을 메틸화하여 필수적인 조절 기능을 수행합니다. 포유류 PRMT 패밀리는 7개의 멤버로 구성되어 있으며, 두 개의 큰 상동 도메인을 공유합니다. PRMT1의 발현 증가는 여러 종류의 암 발생과 관련이 있을 수 있습니다.
