Target Information

Immurait-Ll2Mab is a biosimilar antibody that targets CD22.
CD22 (BL-CAM) is a type I integral membrane glycoprotein (130–140 kDa) expressed in both the cytoplasm and cell membrane of B-lymphocytes. CD22 antigen appears early in B-cell differentiation, similar to CD19. Unlike other B-cell markers, CD22 membrane expression is limited to mature B cells (CD22⁺) and is absent in plasma cells (CD22⁻), making it useful for phenotyping mature leukemias.

CD22 is strongly expressed in hairy cell leukemia, diffuse large B-cell lymphoma, and nodular lymphocyte predominance Hodgkin’s lymphoma, but negative in classical Hodgkin’s lymphoma.
It preferentially binds to α2,6-linked sialic acid, and its recognition site can be masked by cis interactions on the same cell surface. Upon ligand-induced tyrosine phosphorylation, CD22 regulates B-cell antigen receptor signaling—acting both as a positive regulator through Src family tyrosine kinases and as an inhibitory receptor via recruitment of cytoplasmic phosphatases through SH2 domains.
