PEP-1176 can be used as a blocking peptide with polyclonal antibody PA5-21062.
Target Information
SYNPO (Synaptopodin) is an actin-associated protein found in telencephalic dendrites and renal podocytes. It is tightly associated with the dendritic spine apparatus, and mice lacking the SYNPO gene lack this apparatus. These SYNPO-deficient mice show impaired long-term potentiation and deficits in spatial memory tasks, suggesting that SYNPO regulates synaptic plasticity. Recent studies indicate that SYNPO is linked to neuronal calcium stores and contributes to calcium-dependent neuronal long-term plasticity.
