TLR9은 선천면역 활성화와 병원체 인식에 중요한 역할을 하는 톨유사수용체(Toll-like receptor) 패밀리의 구성원입니다. 이 수용체는 병원체 관련 분자 패턴(PAMPs)을 인식하여 효과적인 면역반응에 필요한 사이토카인 생산을 매개합니다. TLR9은 비메틸화 CpG 서열을 인식하여 세포의 선천면역 반응을 유도하며, 비장, 림프절, 골수, 말초혈액 백혈구 등 면역세포가 풍부한 조직에서 주로 발현됩니다.
