Product Specific Information
- In direct ELISAs and Western blots, less than 2% cross-reactivity with recombinant human Thrombomodulin is observed.
- Reconstitute at 0.2 mg/mL in sterile PBS.
Target Information
Thrombomodulin (TM), also known as Fetomodulin (FM), endothelial anticoagulant protein, or glycoprotein P112, contains six repeated domains homologous with EGF and an amino terminal domain homologous to lectin-like protein. Through its accelerated activation of protein C, TM synthesis is important in maintaining thrombo-resistance and reducing clot formation on endothelial surfaces. Immunohistochemical staining of formalin-fixed tissue for TM has been used in studies of vascular tumors, meningiomas, and choriocarcinomas.
