MAN1B1는 당단백질 품질 관리 과정에서 오접힘(glycoprotein misfolding) 단백질의 분해 타깃팅에 관여합니다.
이 효소는 Man9GlcNAc2로부터 α-1,2-linked mannose 잔기를 제거하여 Man8GlcNAc2를 생성하며, 고농도에서는 Man5–6GlcNAc2까지 절단합니다.
