• For IHC (PFA-fixed): Incubate antibody for 30 minutes at room temperature.
• Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires heating tissue sections in 10 mM Tris with 1 mM EDTA, pH 9.0, for 45 minutes at 95°C, followed by cooling at room temperature for 20 minutes.

Target Information

CD10 (Common Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia Antigen, CALLA) is a cell surface enzyme with neutral metalloendopeptidase activity that inactivates various biologically active peptides.
It is expressed on lymphoblastic, Burkitt’s, and follicular germinal center lymphomas, immature B cells in adult bone marrow, and cells from patients with chronic myelocytic leukemia (CML).
CD10 is also present on breast myoepithelial cells, bile canaliculi, fibroblasts, and highly expressed on the brush border of kidney and gut epithelial cells.
This 100 kDa type II transmembrane glycoprotein cleaves peptides at the amino side of hydrophobic residues and inactivates peptide hormones such as glucagon, enkephalins, substance P, neurotensin, oxytocin, and bradykinin.
The CD10 gene’s 5′ untranslated region is alternatively spliced, producing four mRNA transcripts without affecting the coding region.
Diseases associated with CD10 dysfunction include spinocerebellar ataxia 43 and Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease.
