Background
Interleukin-4 (IL-4)은 다양한 T 및 B 세포 반응(증식, 생존, 유전자 발현)을 조절하는 다기능성 사이토카인입니다. IL-4는 비만세포, T 세포, 골수 기질 세포에서 생성되며, 미분화 CD4+ T 세포를 Th2 세포로 분화시키는 역할을 합니다. Th2 세포는 IL-4, IL-5, IL-6, IL-10, IL-13 등을 분비하여 체액성 면역 반응을 유도합니다. 또한 IL-4는 IgG1 및 IgE로의 면역글로불린 클래스 전환을 조절하며, 과도한 IL-4 생성은 IgE 증가 및 알레르기 반응과 관련이 있습니다.
