생물학적 배경
IL-6/GCSF/MGF 계열의 사이토카인은 약 170~180개의 아미노산 잔기로 구성된 당단백질로, 두 개의 이황화 결합을 형성하는 네 개의 보존된 시스테인 잔기를 포함합니다. 구조적으로는 두 개의 이황화 결합으로 안정화된 컴팩트한 구형 폴드 형태를 가지며, 반쪽은 왼손 나선형의 4개의 α-헬릭스 번들이 지배합니다. 이 구조는 생물학적 활성에 중요한 역할을 합니다.
Interleukin-6은 다양한 세포에서 발현되는 주요 염증성 및 면역조절성 사이토카인으로, 초기 단계의 멜라노마 세포 성장 억제 및 후기 단계 세포 증식 촉진 효과가 보고되었습니다.
