Target Information
Amyloid Precursor Protein (APP) 또는 Amyloid beta precursor protein은 세포 표면 kinesin I 막 수용체로 작용하여 beta-secretase와 presenilin 1의 축삭 수송을 매개합니다. APP는 신경 돌기 성장, 신경세포 부착, 축삭 형성에 중요하며, 100–140 kDa의 막 단백질로 여러 isoform 형태로 존재합니다. APP의 proteolytic cleavage는 beta amyloid를 생성하며, 이는 Alzheimer 병의 주요 병리적 특징인 노인성 플라크의 주성분입니다. APP의 비정상적인 조절 및 처리 과정은 Down 증후군, 조기 발병형 가족성 Alzheimer 병, 뇌출혈과도 관련이 있습니다.
