Target Information
FNBP3 (Formin-binding protein 3) is a 957 amino acid protein encoded by the human gene PRPF40A. It belongs to the PRPF40 family and contains five FF domains and two WW domains. Nuclear proteins with both WW and FF interaction modules bind to splicing factors and RNA polymerase II, linking transcription with splicing.
FNBP3 binds to the Formin proline-rich regions through WW domains and interacts with WASL/N-WASP complex, suppressing its cytoplasmic translocation and function. It is widely expressed in most tissues and localized to nuclear speckles.
