This antibody has specificity for Human LILRB3.
Target Information
The LILRB3 gene belongs to the leukocyte immunoglobulin-like receptor (LIR) family, located in the 19q13.4 chromosomal region. The encoded protein is part of the subfamily B class of LIR receptors, containing two or four extracellular immunoglobulin domains, a transmembrane domain, and cytoplasmic immunoreceptor tyrosine-based inhibitory motifs (ITIMs).
It is expressed on immune cells and binds to MHC class I molecules on antigen-presenting cells, transmitting inhibitory signals that modulate immune responses. This receptor helps control inflammation and cytotoxicity, focusing immune responses and preventing autoreactivity.
Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified.
