Target Information
Human follicle stimulating hormone (HuFSH) is a glycoprotein produced from urine of post-menopausal women with a total molecular mass of approximately 35,500 Da. HuFSH is a heterodimeric hormone consisting of a 165-amino acid α chain (non-active) and a 115-amino acid β chain (active). It induces maturation of Graafian follicles in the ovary, promotes development of germinal cells in males, and activates cytosolic tyrosine kinase. The HuFSH is purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.
